With great sadness we report the unexpected passing of one of our founders, a good friend, colleague and mentor. Ed was a loving and attentive father of three boys, a dedicated partner of the firm and a highly regarded and well-respected corporate and securities lawyer. While his modesty, patience, quiet demeanor and kind heart typically formed your first impression of Ed, as a transactional lawyer - his mind, legal skills and knowledge always established him as the smartest guy at the table. He was generous with his time and wisdom, and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
Prior to founding Miller, Egan, Molter & Nelson LLP, Ed practiced with several major internationally-recognized firms including Jones Day and Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LLP and served as general counsel at Fidelity Funding Financial Group, a diversified financial services company based in Dallas.
Ed attended the University of Texas at Austin for both undergraduate and law school, and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with highest honors in 1984 and a Juris Doctor with high honors in 1986.
